Beware, Universal Studios Hollywood brings Jupiter’s Claim to life for park-goers. Visitors will have the chance to see the actual set of Jordan Peele Nopefrom Friday July 22 (which happens to be the day Nope lands in theaters!)

Jupiter’s Claim serves as a fictional theme park in the land of Nope, making it a theme park within a theme park, like a wonderfully weird meta little nesting doll. Located in the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California, the fictional family theme park is grounded in the whitewashed history and aesthetics of the California Gold Rush. Owned and operated with evangelical pride by former child star Ricky “Skirt” Park, Jupiter’s Claim becomes a pivotal location as the characters seek to investigate mysterious and unexplained phenomena, leading them to mounting danger and terrifying consequences.

The set joins the ranks of other iconic film sets on the backlot, including Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worldsthe infamous psychology lodge, and Courthouse Square of perhaps the most perfect film in the history of cinema, that of Robert Zemeckis Back to the future.

“I remember visiting Universal Studios when I was 12 and being mesmerized. That experience fueled my passion and drive to one day partake in the meta-magic of ‘backlot life’. Ever since since then, I have had the good fortune to direct three films for Universal,” said Jordan Peele. “It is a privilege to honor these collaborations with my studio partners, crew members and cast, and to to be able to share Jupiter’s Claim with fans.”

The impressive and elaborate Jupiter’s Claim set was created by production designer Ruth DeJong, then painstakingly disassembled in post-production and transported to Universal Studios Hollywood where it was meticulously reconstructed on location, complete with original props and details from the film. This will be the first time that a Studio Tour attraction will open day and date with the release of a film.

“We are thrilled to partner with Jordan Peele and bring some of his innovative film to Universal Studios Hollywood for our guests to experience,” said Scott Strobl, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Universal. Hollywood Studios. “Jordan’s creativity and ingenuity have produced , thought-provoking films, and we couldn’t be more delighted to present his original Jupiter’s Claim set as a permanent attraction on the Studio Tour, providing our guests a front row seat to experience authentic cinematic magic.
