They say the perfect job doesn’t exist, but Arat Montoya disagrees.

The small business owner from West Linn, Oregon always knew he wanted to work with dogs one day. He grew up in Mexico, where his parents worked as bakers. When the time came for him to choose a career path, he ditched the dough and grabbed a leash instead!

“My family is a baker and my father wanted me to be a baker,” he said. said. “I said, ‘I’m sorry dad, I love dogs.'”

Arat started working for a dog daycare center in Linn, but they went out of business. He kept in touch with some of the dog owners and started walking dogs, boarding animals and boarding outside his home. When his wife became pregnant with their first child, he decided to take the business to the next level. He started by adding style to his car, transforming it into a miniature yellow school bus for dogs.

All Arat had to do was park the car at the end of his driveway for free publicity! Within a week, he had gained 16 clients eager to send their dogs to daycare in style.

Arat’s Doggie School Bus now operates five days a week. The cost of $30 per day includes drop-off and pick-up within 5 miles of the daycare. Once there, the dogs can play and frolic in a 5-acre fenced yard all day. They have the time of their lives and come home exhausted!

Today, Arat takes in around 20 dogs a day, but some packs can have as many as 30 depending on how well each gets along.

The Doggie School Bus was so successful that Arat eventually bought a bigger van. One of his clients made a video of his dog getting ready for school and running out of the house on the school bus, and the clip went viral online.

The sudden influx of views meant even more business for Arat, whose clientele now numbers around 300 happy dogs and their humans. Arat couldn’t be happier to have accomplished his life’s mission of working with dogs every day, and he’s happy to enrich their lives.

“I’m the happiest man in the world doing what I do,” he said. said.

How adorable is this idea? Arat has found a way to experience pure joy every day! We would definitely use his services if we lived in Oregon.
