Notice to all CHEGG fans. It’s confirmed. One of Long Beach Island’s most popular and unique restaurants, The Chicken or the Egg spans the mainland with a second location in Marlton, New Jersey, according to the restaurant’s social media and Broker Post.

We heard it was a possibility in May, and now your dreams are about to come true. MDR. This Marlton location will be larger than LBI’s and will have a beer garden (yes, it will have a liquor license). This will be where the Kmart was located on Renaissance Square.

The Chicken or the Egg has been around since 1991. Marlton resident Rob LaScala bought it from the original owners, the Cohen family, about 4 years ago when they wanted to retire. LaScala loved the uniqueness of the restaurant and are committed to keeping its charm. But, due to his popularity, he wanted to grow and thought Marlton was a good choice.

LaScala also owns Fire at The Promenade at Sagemore in Marlton, among other restaurants.

I have a confession to make … I’ve never been to Chegg. I’m a girl from Ocean City, but now that it’s closer I’m definitely going to take a look … I’ve only heard good things about it.
