The Greater Downtown Jasper Business Association is pleased to announce the details of Santa’s arrival in Jasper.
This annual event will take place on Friday, November 26. The arrival of Santa Claus will brighten up your child’s day and he will also be able to visit him in his special house on the lawn of the courthouse.
You’ll capture the Christmas spirit as you gather around the beautifully decorated downtown plaza in anticipation of Santa Claus, parading from the fire station to his special home, in a bright red fire truck.
Father Christmas will welcome the children to the fire station this year from noon to 12:45 p.m.
At 1 p.m., Santa and his elves will be joined by members of the Jasper High School Marching Band to parade to Santa’s House on the west side of the square.
Children are encouraged to dress up like Christmas packages and walk in the mini-parade.
As the high school band members play Christmas music, Mayor Dean Vonderheide will be on hand to greet everyone with a special salute.
Santa will then spend a few hours visiting the children in his special Christmas house until 3 p.m. Be sure to bring your camera and take photos so that memories can be made for your little ones.
Children and families are also encouraged to bring canned foods and these items will all be donated to the community food bank.
