Subaru Of America, Inc.Announces October Sales

“Subaru, like the rest of the auto industry, faces a severe shortage of semiconductor chips and other key components, which has a direct impact on our vehicle production. Doll, President and CEO, Subaru of America, Inc. “In October, our network of Subaru dealers demonstrated what it means to be more than a retailer, through strong sales efficiency, as well as an exceptional customer experience for all who choose our products. ”

In October, Crosstrek was the top performer by volume with 10,591 vehicle sales. WRX / STI sales for October 2021 increased 35% from the same month in 2020. Year-to-date (YTD), Forester has led the way in terms of volume with total sales of 137,074 vehicles. Compared to the same period in 2020, Outback saw an increase of nearly seven (7) percent year-on-year, while the Crosstrek and WRX / STI transmission lines saw year-on-year increases of 22 percent and 37 percent, respectively.

Last month, Subaru was ranked first for overall quality, vehicle safety and reliability in the 2021 American Customer Satisfaction Index Survey (ACSI) automotive study. The study, which ranks the performance of automotive brands, found that Subaru continues to be number one in vehicle safety among mainstream vehicles for a second year in a row.
