Pike Place will extend its evening hours for Summer Night Market on Thursday, June 23 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

SEATTLE — Seattle’s Pike Place Market is hosting a Summer Night Market on June 23, and organizers just can’t hide their pride.

“As you walk into the market you enter through a rainbow and it will be an unforgettable evening of entertainment, shopping, food, drink and celebration of our LGBTQIA+ community!” said Madison Bristol, marketing manager at Pike Place Market.

The evening is 21 and over with two bars offering farmhouse cocktails. Live music and performances will surround the more than 25 local arts and crafts vendors with drag queens Aunt Flo and Versace Doll kicking off the evening. Aunt Flo also owns Bonnie B’s Peppers.

The market represents a cross section of small businesses that will be championed by the Greater Seattle Business Association. The Association was established in 1981 and is Washington State’s LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and Ally. It is the largest in the country and represents more than 1,300 members of small businesses, corporations, and nonprofit organizations that promote equality and diversity in the workplace.

Katy Carroll of Seattle Bite Society said their women-owned business has been supported by the Business Association in many ways and is thrilled to donate a portion of their summer night’s proceeds to the Association.

“They do a lot of scholarships with young LGBTQ people and I sell our cookie tins on the market largely because of the connections the GSBA had, so we’re excited to join them on summer night!” Carroll says.

The gift basket company will share a hospitality table with the Association so guests can learn more about the Association and its impact in the community.
