What’s New on Criterion Channel in April 2022


Criterion Channel features another great lineup of amazing classic and contemporary films, plus curated collections featuring select subgenres, filmmakers, and more. Among some of the collections Criterion is showing this month are Beyond Blacksploitation, featuring 21 films and a new introduction by Racquel J. Gates; a selection of films selected by Ethan Hawke that celebrate Texas creators and stories; Asian-American Films 2000-2009, with presentations by Brian Hu and Chi-hui Yang; 7 movies from Guru Dutt, often described as “the Orson Welles of Indian cinema”; and 17 films with Delphine Seyrig.
