
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) – A crash involving two motorcycles near Winona on Friday left a woman seriously injured.
State Patrol said Jean Falk, 68, was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Eugene Falk, 73. The accident report says the couple are from Perham, northwest Minnesota. The woman was taken to Gunderson Hospital in La Crosse with life-threatening injuries, while the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Winona Hospital. Neither of them wore a helmet.
State Patrol said they were on one of two motorcycles traveling south on Highway 61 just south of Winona when the other motorcycle slowed down and the motorcycle carrying the injured s ‘crashed into the back of the trailer she was pulling. The accident was reported around 9:30 a.m.
The two occupants of this motorcycle were both wearing helmets and were not injured. They have been identified as Maynard, 79, and Sylvia Falk, 72, of New York Mills.
